Mike Ferry’s Comeback: Finishing 2025 Strong
Welcome to Mike Ferry TV. It’s the week of November 10th. The month is going fast. The year is going to be completed in less than 45 days. I hope you’re doing everything you can to create some momentum to finish the year strong, as well as start 2026 strong. I know some of you have wondered if you would ever see me again. I guess some rumors were going around pretty hot and heavy about Mike Ferry and uh, whether I’m standing upright or laying in a casket someplace.
We had a great Superstar Retreat most of you were there. I went through 28 radiation treatments starting the day after the retreat. I think most of you know, they discovered I had some cancer. I think it’s probably 98% gone. The radiation was interesting because the doctor said to me, um, we have three choices. I said, fine, what are they? Number one, we don’t do anything about your cancer. I said, what happens then? He said, you’ll die in five years. I said, that is not on my plan. It’s not on my long-term planning. What’s option number two? We do surgery. Take your prostate out. He said I don’t recommend it. I said. Why? He said, well, you’re 80 years old. I said, I knew that. He said, I said, what does that have to do with the surgery? It takes about six months to heal. You’ll be in tremendous pain. I said, let’s go to option three. He said, we’ll do radiation. But they did what they called radiation treatments because we couldn’t figure out how to get the schedule, because I had to do it every day, five days a week. So basically, I had 56 radiation treatments in 28 days.
Three weeks after finishing the radiation, Sabrina and I left on a four country, 12 city tour of Europe. We hadn’t been there in a few months. We have our partners there. We started the trip in Paris, which was fun because our Think Big group had chosen Paris as a place to do their annual trip, which it was a beautiful time and they had a great time together.
And then of course, we did a four-day event in Italy with our Italian partners, the Italians, of course. I think I’ve shared this with you. First time we went to Italy, which was 12 years ago. Four young guys in their early 20s with broken English came up and asked for Sabrina and I to have lunch with him on day two. We said, okay, so we sit down for lunch. We had a translator with us, and these four young guys were so excited, and their arms were waving and they were jumping out of their chairs and it was all in Italian. We had no idea what they were saying. And finally, I said, okay, to the translator, I want you to ask them to place their hands on their chair and sit on their hands. So, the translator’s explaining that he wants him to sit on their hands. And once they are all sitting on their hands, I want them to speak. They couldn’t. They are so expressive. It is so much fun. I hope you have a chance to come to Italy, to one of our events.
On that Friday, after the Italian retreat ended, we flew to Florida and did our three day finish strong sold-out crowd of 503 people attended that program in Boca Raton. It was a great event. We had invited Tony Smith to join us in Italy because we didn’t know how much stamina. I had to speak all day. So, Tony would do some of the closing parts of each session. And then Tony did about 50% of the Florida event.
So now we are back to work. I’m working on the Production Retreat for 2026. A lot of things to make 2026 our best year ever. We’re introducing a new logo for the company. The 50 is going to disappear, and we’ve got something else coming for you, which I think you’ll enjoy. We’re planning a big change to the Mike Ferry TV. As of January 1st, we’ll talk about that more. Over the next couple of weeks, and we’re finalizing a new program, a completely new program for all of you to attend, participate, and enjoy.
And if I can turn the page. We are very, very busy at this time. My question I have for all of you, what are you doing to finish the year strong? Because as you’ve heard me say in my daily messages, if you’re involved in coaching, it is so common that in November and December that probably 50% or more of the agents stop working. Either they’ve achieved the goals they’ve set or and they don’t feel the need to do any more, or they’re so far behind they know they can’t catch up, so they just quit working.
So, if you take a look at the marketplace, you know, let’s just use the number 1 million. If we have 1 million agents in the marketplace selling real estate, and 50% of them aren’t working, and you guys and gals are continuing to work for a total of 11 months versus eight months, you’re going to win the game not only in November and December. You’re going to win a big for January and February. So, my lovely wife Sabrina wrote down a closing question. Are you going to let an 80-year-old man outwork you in the next two months? Game’s on. I think that I can beat you. Let’s see if you can beat me.
