Major Mike Ferry Organization Updates: Sabrina Ferry’s Message to Real Estate Agents
Hi everybody. My name is Sabrina Ferry. I am the president of the Mike Ferry Organization and not very often do I jump in on the Mike Ferry TVs that we do. But today I’m going to do it. There are a couple of things that I’d like to share with you, and I guess you would all probably fit into this comment somewhere. It was the best of years. It was the worst of years, or it was somewhere in between. And most of us fall in somewhere in between. Yes, some of our people have had record breaking years. They’ve had the best year ever, and that’s great. We’ve also had people who have really struggled this year because of the interest rates, the changes and things that are happening. Well, that’s where having skills, understanding your scripts, knowing what to say and do will help you through any situation.
So, there are a couple of points that I would like to share with you as we finish out 2025. What a year for MFO. It was the best of times. We celebrated our 50th anniversary and that was an amazing accomplishment. It kind of was the worst of times as Mike was diagnosed with prostate cancer and thankfully has successfully gone through the treatments for that. So, we’re excited about that again. But it certainly wasn’t in the company business plan at the time that we started a new year. So, things happen. That’s the way life goes. So, I want to just cover a couple of points with you that we should be looking at and thinking about as this year comes to a close.
1) Finish your business plan
And the first one is something that you have probably heard a lot. And if you’re in our coaching, you have been talking with your coach about this already. And if you’re not, this is something. Go to our website and get some information on writing your business plan. We are now in mid-December. Your plan for 2026 should be written by now. If it’s not, finish it before the 15th. Okay. Don’t let it go any longer. This should be a priority. How do you know where you want to go if you don’t have a plan? This is an important thing. And a business plan. A Mike Ferry business plan is a simple 4 or 5 pages. It’s not 50 pages of things you have to answer. It’s knowing what you want to accomplish and how you’re going to get there. So, finish the business plan.
2) This is the time to keep going. Don’t stop.
The second point is directly from Mike, who said to me this morning when I told him I’d like to record this week’s Mike Ferry TV, he said, please remind the people of this. Yes, the market declines during the holiday season, generally around 20%, but remind everybody that the Participation of agents drops by 80%. So, this is the time to keep going. Don’t stop. Yes, we want you to spend time with your family for Christmas. But you don’t need to take all the time off. Take off the 25th. Take off the 24th and then consider working on the 26th or 27th. We still have plenty of time before we even get there. So, this is not a time that we need to convince ourselves that people aren’t buying or selling. They are. Are they going to list with you? And the only way they could list with you is if you’re still working. So, consider continuing. This is not the time to stop. Let’s keep going. People still buy and sell houses.
3) Call your database
The next point is one that I think you guys are all involved with already calling your database. My goodness, if there is ever a good time of year to call your database. It is in the month of December. Call every person that you know and wish them Happy Holidays. Wish them a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It is a great opportunity to start a conversation with someone. Thank them for the business that they have referred to you, or that they gave to you in their own real estate purchase or sale. But don’t lose this time. Call everybody. Go see your top 10%. Say thank you somehow. Communicate with them. Not by text, not by a social media post, not by something electronic. Call them. Hear their voice. Stop by and visit them. Drop something off and say Merry Christmas but be present in that and be grateful for that great database that is such an important part of your business.
4) Get your tickets to the Production Retreat
The next point that I wrote down was obviously come to the Production Retreat. Now our production retreat is coming up in just a few weeks, and obviously MFO closes at this time of year. We close on the 23rd at 5 p.m. and we don’t reopen until Monday, January 5th. So, if you’re interested in coming to the production retreat, you want to call before the 23rd. We have always felt that this time of year is a great time for our staff to have time with their families, so it’s been the gift that Mike and I give to our staff to have this time off and enjoy the holidays. So, if you want to come to the Production Retreat, get your tickets now! We’re almost sold out. So that’s one that you have to put on your to do list.
5) At the end of 2025, say goodbye to Mike Ferry TV and welcome Mike Ferry’s podcast, The Original
And finally, I just want to share with you as we get ready to welcome a new year. You may notice that I am sitting in a new studio for this, and we are going to, at the end of 2025, say goodbye to Mike Ferry TV and welcome Mike Ferry’s podcast, The Original. That will start in January. This is going to be filled with lots of people that we will be able to interview. I don’t know if you can see this whole desk, but there are two stations for microphones and we want to bring you this success stories and the stories of so many great agents, whether they’re brand new in the business or veterans or people doing amazing things. It’s been an amazing year, and there are a lot of you that have great stories to tell, and we want to share that information through Mike Ferry podcast, the original. Why are we calling it the original? Well, I guess you guys know, right? This all started with Mike Ferry. So many of the coaching companies that are out there can be traced right back to starting with the original, either as a client or as a coach. So we would like to celebrate that as we go into our 51st year.
Exciting Announcements
We’re also working on a whole bunch of other things that we’re excited about 2026. We’ll see two superstar retreats, one in June, one in September, October. We’re still finalizing the second one, and there will be more information released on that shortly. We’ve got a whole bunch of new things that we’re planning for you guys, including things called the MFO Academy, which would be a series of eight-week classes that you can sign up for on a specific topic. We’re looking at introducing a team coaching that is going to only be for a select group that will start with. It will start small, but if you have an interest, that will be something that I’d ask you to reach out to me and talk about, and I’ll share with you how that’s going to work.
We have something called a superstar sponsorship that we’re going to introduce in 2026 as well, in 2025. We saw several of our long-time clients retire. Isn’t that great? Wouldn’t it be nice to know that at some point you are going to reach financial independence, financial freedom, and that you can actually achieve the goals that you have and retire and enjoy life? And I know for a lot of you, real estate is a passion that you have as you have developed your career. It’s something that you enjoy being a part of and making a difference for people, but it’s also nice to be able to say I’ve achieved what I wanted to achieve. So, our superstar sponsorship program would allow those people to stay involved by sponsoring someone through one year of premier coaching. There’ll be more details on that to come.
We also have a new agent program that we’re excited to launch at the Production Retreat. There are a lot of new people coming into this industry. There are a lot of people who are looking for the way of moving forward. And as you guys all know that when you get your real estate license, there’s not a lot that they teach you for sales and how to get business. So, Mike Ferry is starting a new agent program and that will be introduced in January as well.
I still have a rather long list of things that we are working on and that we’re excited about introducing to all of you, but we’re going to save those for 2026. My question to you is, what are you excited about? What is the goal that you want to achieve? What will 2026 look like for you? Now it starts with the plan. You’re going to have to know what it is that you want to achieve. What are the goals that you want to accomplish and how are you going to get there? And for 50 years, soon to be 51, the Mike Ferry organization is always there to help you move forward, to guide you on this path, to teach you the scripts, the skills, the techniques that you need to be able to succeed in this business.
My goodness, the world is changing at a very, very fast pace. There’s all kinds of technology that is out there. There’s a lot of stuff that is available. And Mike and I both would say to you, and there is still nothing more powerful than the direct human connection. So, talk to people. Do you remember years ago, Mike always used to say, there are two kinds of people in the world. Those you know, those you don’t know which group is bigger and go talk to that group. So, as you get ready for the holiday season, put a smile on your face. Wish people happy holidays in a merry Christmas. You’ll be amazed at how many smile back and say the same to you and look forward to a successful new Year coming in 2026.
