The Mike Ferry Organization was founded by Mike Ferry, a trailblazer in real estate coaching and training worldwide. With a career spanning since 1975, Mike has earned an unparalleled reputation for success through hard work, dedication to personal goals, and an unwavering commitment to client success.

Beginning at Nightingale-Conant, Mike swiftly climbed the ranks to become the National Training Director overseeing the sales activities of 1,300 people. Transitioning to residential real estate, he excelled as a top agent in the state before deciding to launch his own company.

Today, The Mike Ferry Organization boasts a global presence with tens of thousands of clients. Mike’s innate ability to teach original techniques has empowered numerous agents to surpass their personal and business goals. Whether in their first or fiftieth year in real estate, Mike inspires clients to perform at high levels and apply business principles to their careers.

A Brief History of The Mike Ferry Organization… From the Beginning

Explore the rich history of the Mike Ferry Organization, a journey that began in June 1975. Back then, Mike Ferry, driven by the belief that in-depth knowledge leads to success, embarked on a mission to empower real estate agents in Southern California.

Initially, Mike conducted brief talks at real estate company sales meetings, showcasing his productivity principles. Attendees were then invited to purchase tickets for $25 to attend seminars held a few days later. During 1976, the company’s foundation was laid with three key initiatives. Mike continued his sales meetings and seminars, recorded two 4-hour cassette programs on listing and selling properties, and began reaching out to real estate-related organizations for fee-based speaking engagements.

From 1976 to mid-1985, Mike tirelessly prospected and spoke at events, gradually expanding from California to all of North America. Recognizing a need for advanced training, he introduced video-based sales programs for brokers, diversifying income sources to include speaking fees, cassette sales, and video-based training.

In early 1985, Mike identified limitations in the existing business model, prompting a shift. He created programs to sell tickets directly, amassed a substantial database from seminar attendees, and in mid-1985, established the Action Workshop – a four-day seminar aimed at boosting real estate salesperson productivity.

Acknowledging a gap in training for top producers, Mike introduced the Superstar Retreat in 1985, later followed by the Management Retreat in 1987. The company’s offerings now included 1 to 15 Action Workshops, Superstar and Management Retreats on both coasts.

In 1988, Mike pioneered real estate sales coaching with the “Business Planning” program. Despite market challenges in 1989-1990, he adapted and introduced One-On-One Coaching in June 1995. The coaching model evolved, utilizing successful active agents as part-time coaches.

Between 1975 and 1995, Mike continued producing various sales training programs, relying on product sales as a significant income source. The transition from cassette and video to CDs and DVDs occurred, and adapting to changing communication trends, Mike recognized the effectiveness of faxes over emails during that period.

From 1995 to 2005, Mike responded to the changing landscape by creating new four-day seminars. By 2005, the company organized over 25 events annually, consolidating control over its offerings and reducing dependence on external hires.

The recession from 2006 to 2011 presented challenges, but MFO adapted by introducing sub-coaching programs and making necessary financial adjustments. When the market rebounded in 2011, the company expanded services, facing increased competition.

Mike Ferry’s role within the organization shifted to creating and enhancing services, staying ahead of competitors. With a focus on continuous learning and growth, Mike Ferry Organization remains committed to being the best and invites professionals to join the journey to success.

The Andrea Bocelli Foundation (ABF)

The Andrea Bocelli Foundation (ABF) was created July 2011 and empowers people and communities in situations of poverty, illiteracy, distress due to illness and social exclusion. They support national and international projects with the aim of overcoming these barriers and helping challenged individuals express their full potential.


I Made A Difference Day (IMADD)

Every year, on June 20th we celebrate Mike Ferry’s Birthday by getting the MFO community involved with something we call, “I Made A Difference Day”. I Made A Difference Day is our way of giving back and hopefully inspiring others to do the same by choosing an act of service that will impact the community directly.
